How can I prevent spam on sites which I control?

I have Blog extension installed in my Magento website. But i recieve many spam comments in my blogs, to restrict automated script from spamming my website. I enabled Captcha, but even though i still get 4 or 5 spam comments in my blog section.

@Paulmorriss : My question is regarding Blog in Magento, the duplicate you have mentioned is a General question for blogs.. – balanv Feb 7 at 12:20
Some (but not all) of those solutions should work with Magento. – paulmorriss Feb 7 at 12:36
@balanv Sorry we can't be more specific, this subject comes up so frequently that we end up rehashing the same answers over again. There is a decent thread on the subject at magento commerce that might help you out more. magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/18093 – toomanyairmiles Feb 7 at 12:51
