I am just about to launch a website, and have managed the entire project. I am not a tech guy, just have a very basic knowledge about the whole process and technologies involved. Once the site is launched I will need a tech "consultant" in my corner to help me with certain decisions which are beyond my expertise, and I don't want to use my developers for this because of time zone issues. Is anyone here interested in being a paid consultant? If not, how would I go about finding one?

I'm not sure this is a real question. It comes awfully close to becoming a job ad. StackExchange questions are meant to solve problems common to a community--in this case webmasters--not to help you find employees/consultants/partners for your particular business. In any case, even if you removed the part that's a job ad, this seems like a general business question that should be asked at OnStartups isntead. – Lèse majesté Dec 11 '11 at 2:31

Questions on Pro Webmasters - Stack Exchange are expected to generally relate to webmastering, within the scope defined in the faq.

I use and recommend oDesk for technical prrojects beyond my abilities. In fact, I have a "stable" of contractors who help with many of our development and design projects.

You can choose a fixed-price contract or hourly.
