Webmasters Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for pro webmasters. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a few websites/apis running online and I want to get notified of when (if) they go down. What I mean by "if the go down" is (usually) if a certain page doesn't fails to return a 200 status code.

I know of 2 such services but was interested in what the general community uses?

I use Uptime Robot and have had no issues with their service at all. It is totally free for up to 50 sites.
