I need to improve the performance of the development process and the quality of the websites our real estate project.

There is a main national website and other secondary websites for local areas. Right now the team is made by three PHP developers. No designer, no seo, nobody else. We did not use any methodology, we have meetings with the boss 2-3 times per week, write down next tasks, and execute them.

Very soon two of the developers are quitting because they recieved a more interesting offer somewhere else. So I'll be alone, a lonely developer and the other members of the company boss, accountant, secretary, so on.

I want to try this time to advice my boss to hire the right people and to allow us (the team) to organize our work the most professional way we can achieve it.

So I'm asking here for help, advice, recommendations on: - What people should we hire? - Who shall organize the work? (boss is no geek but he likes to control it all) - I'm a developer with enough experience but I'm not an expert, shall I look for a project manager with better skills than mine? shall I try to find some experienced guy and ask him to assist me in this process?

I am just worrying for the company and the project, I want it to have better human resources.

I sometimes feel bad for not being a smarter person and with more courage to lead the project on the right path.

Thank you, waiting for your comments :) Alexandru.

I am not sure this is the best fit for webmasters, best of luck getting a team together though. – Toby Nov 7 '11 at 21:44
