I submitted a Sitemap in my Webmaster Tools.

Is there a way to Ping Google and let them know there's a Sitemap to look at?

(Like they haven't got anything else to do.)

What Dan said. Voting to close unless this is better explained. – Su' Sep 10 '11 at 22:09
You've already submitted the sitemap, so why you feel there is a need to ping it ? – Mahesh Sep 12 '11 at 18:55

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. For help clarifying this question so that it can be reopened, see the FAQ.

The mere act of submission in Google Webmaster tools has alerted Google to come download it. You will see in the line a date/time stamp when Google gets around to reading it.

Since your question is kind of oblique, if you have made changes since submitting the sitemap and want Google to immediately re-read the corrected one instead of waiting for their next pass at retrieving it, you will have to check the box and resubmit the new one. Google has probably already spooled the previous, incorrect one for scanning your site, so expect a few sitemap link errors to show under the appropriate heading until it expires out.
