For me, the choosen first company a fresher in web design/web development is more crucial for his career, as he want to learn, earn and secure his career.

If you can answer this QUESTION with respect to software /application they are using, a reputed company/a local company. I want to learn from my first company and intend to jump to a company where, I can plan my next big step in my career?

It all depends.

If you just want to use the first job as something that helps you get another job I suppose it matters most how well known and reputable the company is. If you want to work there for an unspecified amount of time working conditions are key. I couldn't imagine working for a company that gives me a 5 year old computer with a CRT monitor and a crappy chair. Then obviously there is quite a number of things that are good/bad for working conditions that you can't know before you start working there, like coworkers, hierarchy, how the boss(es) treat you, etc. etc.

In all jobs you will likely end up learning a lot if you want to learn. There are all kinds of skills you will develop while working on projects, there are things you can learn on your own that aren't required for the project but possibly nice to have. In short work experience is key to learning in the beginning, no matter where.

Thank you. Can you answer the very same question with respect to software /application they are using, a reputed company/a local company. I want to learn from my first company and intend to jump to a company where, I can plan my next big step in my career? – itpian.com Aug 13 '11 at 12:09
Plenty of companies use Adobe CS Suite (different versions depending on company) but there are many many tools out there so you will find a wide variety. – Lynda Aug 13 '11 at 23:01
