I started a WordPress child theme linked to the twentyten theme (no customizations yet) and noticed the menu does not seem to work properly in the child theme.

If I switch to the twentyten parent theme, I see just the menu items I added; when I switch to the my twentyten child theme, I don't see my menu but rather all the pages are listed.

Is there something I need to do in my child theme to get the menus working or is this a problem with the parent twentyten theme?
